When choosing sunglasses, one simple principle works best: the frame should "work" against your face shape. Angular frames flatter a rounded face; rounded frames flatter an angular one. Knowing this one rule is already half the job. The rest is in the details.
Work out your face shape
Look in the mirror and study three lines: the width of your forehead, the width of your cheekbones, and your jawline.
Oval — cheekbones slightly wider than the forehead and jaw, with a soft contour. The most "universal" shape.
Round — width and height nearly equal, soft contours, no defined angles.
Square — a broad forehead and a defined, angular jawline.
Heart-shaped — a wide forehead, narrow chin.
