About MODI — Barner's Official Retailer in Georgia
Who we are
MODI is a Georgian concept brand that brings international premium names together into one retail experience. It is operated by LLC "Synergy Georgia". The story began with BARNER, the Barcelona eyewear brand, which MODI introduced to the Georgian market in September 2024 as its official retailer.
How BARNER came to Georgia
Founder Kakhaber Kharchilava first became a BARNER customer by chance — and then became the person who brought the brand from Spain to Georgia. Negotiations with the brand took six months from first contact to final agreement.
Georgia then did something no other market had done: it became the first country in BARNER's history to launch pop-up kiosk retail. The format worked so well that it became a reference model for the brand's international partners.

By mid-2025, in its first period of operation, the business reported month-on-month growth of 30–35%, driven by returning customers and their recommendations.
What we believe
Quality first. Every BARNER frame comes with TAC polarised or blue-light-filtering lenses and 100% UVA/UVB protection; the frame itself is lightweight TR-90 or bio-acetate — around 15 grams. A large part of the range is made from natural, biodegradable materials.
A fair price. Premium design should not require a premium markup. Glasses start at 195 GEL (140 GEL for kids), bags at 160 GEL, with installment payment available.
Service that earns loyalty. Fitting is free in all four stores, prescription lenses can be ordered into any frame, and consultants help you choose both the shape and the lens.
Financing our growth
The first store was opened with the founder's own savings. For expansion, MODI chose ProCredit Bank as its banking partner — a decision based on lending terms, service quality and professional support.
